The Kenosha Unified School Board will vote Monday on the contract of Michele Hancock, who is set to become the district's next superintendent.

The board will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Educational Support Center, 3600 52nd St. Hancock will take over for Superintendent Joseph Mangi, who is retiring in June.

A Kenosha soldier died after a rocket-propelled grenade hit a watchtower he was in while on guard duty.

Army Spc. Robert Rieckhoff, 26, died at 1:30 a.m. (Kenosha time) Thursday in Baghdad, Iraq.
